New Delhi, 15 November 2024 – The German National Tourist Office India recently concluded high-profile events in Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Mumbai to promote Germany’s tourism offerings. Showcasing its natural beauty, historic cities, and cultural richness, Germany is increasingly popular among Indian travelers, supported by expanded direct flights to Frankfurt and Munich. Indian travelers generated 826,000 overnight stays in 2023, a 33% rise from 2022, with trends showing extended stays and exploration through rail, self-drive, or cruises. Key partners, including Baden-Baden Tourism Board, Visit Berlin, Lufthansa Group, Rail Europe, and prominent accommodation and shopping partners, engaged with the Indian travel trade, fostering collaborations and showcasing unique offerings. “Our events aim to educate agents about Germany’s affordability and accessibility,” said Mr. Romit Theophilus, Director for Marketing & Sales Office India. Upcoming events in Jaipur and Coimbatore with Lufthansa Group are planned for November.
